RC Groupsi F5B teemast jäi silma väike lugu Tõenäoliselt F5 "miskit" MM võistlustest...
In 1988 the Norwegians were processed first and we (UK) came along afterwards. I found a tall young tearful Norwegian with a hacksaw in his hand about to saw off two of his Sanyos as his plane had measured too small. I persuaded him to wait a bit. Then our planes were processed, also too small/heavy, nervewracking, but I followed my own counsel and went for a drink. Later the Germans were processed and subsequently we were all awarded another 5% or so on our area and all planes passed!
Then in 2006 we (UK) were again amongst the first. my plane was failed because the identification marks were ony 2cm or so and should have been bigger. I was given a dispensation to make them bigger by using a thick pen round the top and bottom of the letters. Jangles your nerves nevertheless. So I watched until the Germans came along. You guessed it, 1cm high letters, nicely moulded into the ailerons but half the size of mine. They were, of course, waved through. When I pointed this out I was dismissed as being trivial! (Quite right, but I was making a point).
